You may have noticed the various tiny libraries located in neighborhoods across Montgomery County. The whimsical structures, resembling giant birdhouses, each contain an array of books and serve as “take one, leave one” lending libraries. These tiny libraries provide both children and adults the opportunity to better themselves through the art of literature while also giving the same gift to another neighbor in the community. These libraries started as a way to provide books to children in low-income neighborhoods but have flourished and can now be found all over the world. If you would like to find your next favorite novel or encourage young readers to pick up a book this summer, please feel free to take a book and leave a book in its place at the following locations:
